Filipino news anchor and broadcaster on radio and television Erwin Teshiba Tulfo of PTV News, visited one of the sample units of the shelters planned to be build for the people of Marawi and according NHA, it only costs ₱160,000, compared to the temporary shelter made for the Yolanda typhoon victims that costs almost ₱800,000 each.
A video showing comparison between the shelters provided by Aquino administration for the typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban and the shelter that will be provided for the people who are displaced because of the war in Marawi surfaced in social media. It shows that Marawi folks is provided with better housing at a lower cost. It is made of galvanized and prefabricated materials complete with rest room and kitchen for only P160,000.
